How many products and reactants are there in a double-replacement reaction?

Thanks for your question regarding double replacement reactions.
In a typical double replacement reaction, you have two reactants and two products. All are compounds.
An example of a typical double replacement reaction is:
Solutions of potassium chloride and sodium chlorate are mixed together.
KCl (aq) +
The cations switch places (or you could think of the anions as switching places).
