it can be written as ;

#-1 ( 1 + 7x) -6 ( 7-x) =36 #

#-1*1 + (-1) 7x -6*7 -6*(-x)= 36#

#-1 + -7x -42 + 6x =36#

#-1 -42 -7x +6x = 36#

#-43-x = 36#

adding #43# to both sides

#-43 + 43 -x = 36 +43#

#-x = 79#

dividing both sides by -1 to get the value of #x# ;

#(-x) /-1 = 79 /-1#

x = -79
