The line perpendicular to 3x+9y=0 has the equation y=3x

3x+9y=0

Putting this into the form y=mx+c we get:

y=(-x)/(3)

So m=-(1)/(3)

If two lines A and B are perpendicular then gradient of

B = -1/gradient of A

So gradient of B (-1)/(-(1)/(3)) =3

So the perpendicular line has the equation y=3x

Should really be under Algebra but there you go.
