With a retardation of 6ms2 this will take 306=5 seconds

In these 5 seconds we go from a speed of 30 m/s to 0 m/s.
During these 5 seconds we can say that our average speed was:

3002=15ms

Since distance=average speed x time, we come up with:

d=155=75 m, which is 10075=25 m from the wall
