The formula is F=ma
Where F=force, m=mass and a=accerelation.

Fill in what we know:

F=ma
1600N=m40ms2
m=1600N40ms2=40kg

And there we have a problem, because crate+bricks have a mass of only 40 kg while the crate is 150 kg.

I think you missed, or added, a 0 somewhere.

(1)
Let's make the crate lighter : 15 kg
Then the bricks weigh 4015=25kg

(2)
Or cut down on the accelaration lets make it 4m/s2
(40m/s2 is very high, it's 4 times gravity , or 4g)
F=ma
1600=m4
m=400kg
Which would leave 400150=250kg for the bricks

(3)
Or make the force greater: 16000N
F=ma
16000=m40
m=400kg
Which would also leave 400150=250kg for the bricks

My bet would be on possibility (2)
