You have to distinguish between heat capacity C and specific heat c, which is heat capacity per gram, so C=c*mC=cm

We now set up an equation, because heat gained by the water equals heat lost by the pellet. From both we know start and end temperature, and thus the change DeltaT
The specific heat of water c_w can be found to be 4.18J//g*^oC

So here goes (water left, pellet right):

c_w*m*DeltaT_w=C_p*DeltaT_p

Fill in what we know:

4.18*m*(54.8-22.7)=52*(121-54.8)->

124.2*m=3442.4->m=27.7g
