The plot crosses the y-axis when x=0 and it crosses the x-axis when y=0. So by substitution of 0 for one you find the value of the other by manipulation of the equation

Explanation:

If you meant to ask more than just how:

When x=0
y=(2 times 0) + 18

so the y-axis intercept is at (x,y)->(0,18)
For a strait line graph it is always at the value of the constant.

So at the x-axis intercept y=0

0=2x+18
2x= -18
x= (-18)/2 = -9

So the x-axis intercept is at (x,y)-> (-9,0)
