Slope-Intercept Form:
y=mx+b
Where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

Original Equation:
-3x-8y+6=0

To put an equation into slope-intercept form, you have to isolate y. This means you have to get y by itself:

-3x-8y+6=0

-3x-8y=-6

-8y=3x-6

y=(3x-6)/(-8)

y=(-3/8)x+(3/4)

Once you have y by itself, all you have to do is determine which number is your slope and which is your intercept.

You should end up with:
m (slope) =(-3/8)
and
b (y-intercept) =(3/4)
