Digestion is a very long process which takes about 5-6 hours to digest the food eaten by you.
Explanation:
The digestive juices from our liver and pancreas act on our food and turn our food from complex to simpler forms.
Some digestive enzymes are TRYPSIN which is for digestion of protein and LIPASE for breakdown of emulsified fats.
Then the enzymes from the walls of small intestine finally turn-
Complex proteins - Amino Acids.
Carbs- Glucose and Fatty acids.
*Fats - Fatty acids and Glycerol.
Then our food gets digested in our small intestine. from there the nutrients absorbed from food is taken out via the little villi present in the small intestine and these nutrients are taken to develop new tissues, repairing old ones and obtaining energy etc.
