If we apply voltage V across a resistor whose resistance is R then the current I flowing across it can be calculated by

I=V/R

Here we are applying voltage of 12V across a 96Omega resistor, therefore, the current flowing is

I=12/96=0.125 implies I=0.125A

Hence, the electric current produced is 0.125A.
