$x=ln(98.6)/(0.2*ln(8))~~11.03919$

You have to apply logarithms

the logarithm of $a^b$ is $b ln(a)$

So:

$8^(0.2x)=98.6$

After aplying logarithms we have:

$0.2xln(8)=ln(98.6)$

$x=ln(98.6)/(0.2*ln(8))~~11.03919$

How do you solve 8^(0.2x) = 98.68^(0.2x) = 98.6?
