All living things are made of carbon. Carbon is also a part of the ocean, air, and even rocks. Because the Earth is a dynamic place, carbon does not stay still.

NCERT Class 9, India

1) If we see from beginning CO_2CO2 in the atmosphere is taken by the plants which use it to make glucose, water and Oxygen. Also Direct CO_2CO2 from air forms carbonate water which later turns to Limestones.

2) Then these plants are eaten by us and other animals i.e we indirectly use the CO_2CO2 which was with plants. And also we respire CO_2CO2 back in atmosphere.

3) Then, when Organic Compounds (Plants/ Animals) form Coal and Petroleum or we can say Fossil Fuel. And also our human body forms Inorganic Carbonate or Shells.

4) But nowadays we burn fossil fuel too much which is harmful
and also cutting the trees and as a result we are not getting rid of CO_2CO2 from our atmosphere.
