If you know the x and yintercepts of a line you can draw the line passing through them.

Explanation:

All along the xaxis, y = 0. All along the yaxis, x = 0.

To find the x intercept, make y = 0 and solve for x.
To find the y intercept, make x = 0 and solve for y.

In this example:

For the x intercept, 3x4(0)=12 x=4

For the y intercept, 3(0)4y=12 y=3 graph graph{y = 3x/4 +3 [-10, 10, -5, 5]}

Draw the line through these points.
