In order to get rid of the xx's in the denominators you have to multiply them over to the other side:

(3(color(blue)(x+2)))/color(red)cancel(color(black)(4x)) = (5(color(blue)(4x)))/color(red)cancel(color(black)(x+2))

Multiply it out:

3x+6 = 20x

Subtract the 3x to the other side and add the 20x and 3x:

color(red)cancel(color(black)(3x))+6 = 20x - color(blue)(3x)

6 = 17x

Then divide 6 by 17:

x = 6/17
