$(x^(-1)+y^(-1))/(x^(-1)-y^(-1))$

= $(1/x+1/y)/(1/x-1/y)$

= $[(y+x)/(xy)]/[(y-x)/(xy)]$

= $(y+x)/(xy)*(xy)/(y-x)$

= $(y+x)/(y-x)$

1) I used $x^(-a)=1/(x^a)$ rule.

2) I equated denominators.

3) I used $(a/b)/(c/d)$ = $a/b*d/c$ rule.

4) After simpliication, I found this result.
