If larger number is $y$ $y$ and smaller number is $x$ $x$ then

Given that,
$y = \frac{3 x}{2}$ $y = (3x)/2$

Also,
$y - x = 13$ $y - x = 13$
Substitute $y = \frac{3 x}{2}$ $y = (3x)/2$
$\frac{3 x}{2} - x = 13$ $(3x)/2 - x = 13$

$x (\frac{3}{2} - 1) = 13$ $x(3/2 - 1) = 13$

$\frac{x}{2} = 13$ $x/2 = 13$

$x = 26$ $x = 26$

$y = (\frac{3}{2}) \cdot x = \frac{3 \cdot 26}{2} = 39$ $y= (3/2) * x = (3*26)/2 = 39$
