divergent plate boundary is when two plates move away from each other

1) mid-oceanic ridge: it is formed when two plates move away from each other at the center. when the plate moves magma is erupted on both plates and new ocean floor is formed.
2) submarine volcanoes: they are formed when there is high magma eruption and the cooled down lava forms a dome like structure
