Our body organs are attatched to the body wall with the help of mesentry. It is formed by double fold of peritoneum that covers all body organs. These connective tissues prevent our body organs getting tangled and making problems. otherwise our intestine would have folded on the liver and other organs flying around.There are Blood vessels, nerves, and lymphatics branch through the mesentery.
Bicarbonate is alkaline and neutralizes the acid secreted by the parietal cells, producing water in the process. This continuous supply of bicarbonate is the main way that our stomach protects itself from autodigestion (the stomach digesting itself) from the powerful HCL secreted.
You can thank your stomach's mucus membranes for protecting you. These specialized cells produce a solution of mucous and bicarbonate that coats the inside of the stomach.
The mucous produced by the epithelial cells also forms a physical barrier between the walls of the stomach and the acid it produces.
