In an ecosystem living and non living things work together.

Explanation:

In an ecosystem living and non living things work together. The living things in an ecosystem are biotic factors such as: animals, bacteria, plants. The non living things are called abiotic factors for example: wind, temperature, ph, sunlight.

Abiotic factors directly affect the survival of living things (biotic factors), they also determine what kinds of biotic factors will be present. Particular organisms and plant forms are suited for particular types of environments.

One example of the interaction between abiotic and biotic factors is with plants. The plants use sunlight, water, and CO2 to make food. Without these abiotic factors plants would not be able to grow.

At the same time biotic factors will influence the abiotic factors. Microbes and plant life in a lake will determine what the different factors of water will have (acidity, murkiness...)
