How do you find the domain and range of #F(x) = 4x -1#?

Domain = #(-oo, +oo)#
Range = #(-oo, +oo)#

Explanation:

It's a linear function and by definition the domain is #RR#, there are no constraints.

Which means that for every #x# you put into #f(x) = 4x-1# you can get any value in #RR#, so the range is also #RR#.

So we can write like this:
Domain = #(-oo, +oo)#
Range = #(-oo, +oo)#
