Solve like a normal linear equation.

x=3

Explanation:

First we need to get all the variables x on one side and all the constants on the other side.

In this case, we simply subtract 2.5.

therefore 2.5x = 7.5

Now we just div by 2.5 to isolate x

therefore x =3

For easier calculations, lets convert all the terms into fractions with same denominator:)

(5x)/2+ 5/2 =20/2

5x+ 5 =20

5x = 20 - 5

5x = 15

x = 3

Verification:-

2.5(3)+2.5

=7.5 + 2.5

=10

=Right Hand Side
