Check answers below.

Explanation:

1) 4a-5b-6a+7b
First, place together all like terms (those with same variables, exponents, etc.)
= 4a-6a-5b+7b
Simplify by doing the operations.
4a-6a = -2a and -5b+7b =2b
And when you put them together, you get:
-2a+2b.

*Realized that when I posted this you shortened the question to only answer one problem (above) so don't mind the rest down below unless you need answers for your other (deleted) problems.

2) 15n+3n^4-4n+12n^4+n
Do the same thing we did in 1)
= 3n^4+12n^4+15n-4n+n
= 15n^4+12n

3) 12n-2n^4-10n-2n^4+n
Same process.
= -2n^4-2n^4+12n-10n+n
= -4n^4+3n

4) 5n+6n^4-7n+15n^4+13n
Same process.
= 6n^4+15n^4+5n-7n+13n
= 21n^4+11n

5) 40 quarters, 30 dimes, 20 nickels, 10 pennies
40*25 cents = 1000 cents
30*10 cents = 300 cents
20*5 cents = 100 cents
10*1 cent = 10 cents

1000+300+100+10 cents
= 1410 cents
or $14.10.
