This rocky layer has a lot of lava, which has been generated by the many volcanoes on its surface. The white look that Venus shows off is a result of the suns rays reflecting off the sulphuric acid clouds surrounding the planet, it is so hot on Venus that it could melt lead, spacecraft have landed on Venus but have lasted less than one hour due to the immense heat and pressure.
