#2x+6y=12#

#=> x+3y = 6#

For x-intercept ,
plug in #y=0# and fin the value of #x#
#=> x +3(0) = 6#
#=> x=6#
Therefore the x-intercept is 6.

For y-intercept ,
plug in #x=0# and fin the value of #y#
#=> (0) +3y = 6#
#=> y=2#
Therefore the y-intercept is 2.

Alternatively, intercepts an also be found from the graph.
the points of intersection of the line representing #x+2y=6# and the x-axis and y-axis represents the x-intercept graph and y-intercept respectively.
