Let the time taken for the trees to be of same height be $x$ .

Height of tree A after $x$ years $=> 36 + 15x$
[as initial height is 36inces and 15inches are added every year]

Height of tree B after $x$ years $=> 48 + 10x$
[as initial height is 48inces and 10inches are added every year]

SO when the heights are same,

$36+15x = 48 +10x$

$5x = 12$

$x=2.4 " years"$

Now, height after $2.4 " years"= 48 + 10(2.4)$

$=> 48 + 24 = 72 " inches"$
