How are are viruses harmful?
I understand that they can multiply themselves by messing with the cells functions but I need to know other ways.

They kill cells
Explanation:
Viruses are harmful to the human body as they hijack a person to reproduce. Once a person is infected with the virus it finds a cell to invade and there it dissolves its outer membrane to release its genetic material. Then it uses the cells own processes to create more of itself, replicating and using up the resources in the cell. Once the cell is saturated with viruses its membrane is dissolved and the cell is left to die. This process is happening to multiple cells which harms the body, as lots of cells are dying.
