Explanation:
Tetrad forms during meiosis first division of prophase. Crossing over takes place in two homologous chromosomes. There is exchange of genetic material during crossing over. These chromosomes look in set of four therefore called tetrad. During mitosis simple cell division there is no exchange of genetic material.
