First you subtract 10 from both sides...
$2 \sqrt{x}$ $2sqrtx$ =-10

Next you divide both sides by 2...
$\sqrt{x}$ $sqrtx$ =-5

Finally you square both sides...
${(\sqrt{x})}^{2}$ $(sqrtx)^2$ = ${(- 5)}^{2}$ $(-5)^2$

And...
$x = 25$ $x=25$
