the speed ofthe wave on second snakey = 6.6 m/s

Explanation:

the travelling waves obeys the following rule

the speed of the wave is directly proportional to wavelength

therefore as the wave enters 2nd snakey its speed say

v(2) = constant . wavelength(say #lambda(2)#

we are given that in 1st snakey

v(1) = 4.4 m/s = constant.# ( lambda(1)#= 2 m)

therefore the constant = 2.2 per sec may be seen as (1/time period)

so, v(2) = 2.2 per sec . ( #lambda(2) = 3m#)

speed of the wave v(2) = 6.6 m/s
