When was our moon formed?

No one knows for sure but many assume it was formed early in the development of our solar system when a large asteroid hit earth and ejected material that began to orbit earth and eventually formed into the moon.
Explanation:
Most scientists believe it is very close to the same age as earth, 4-4.5 billion years old.
