Essentially they are both thermodynamics, just being applied to different situations.
All physical principles are the same in both the cases.
In physical thermodynamics, the Thermodynamic principles are used to study phase transitions, generations of low temperatures and hence liquification of gases, also how physical systems evolve thermodynamically in time.
Chemical thermodynamics primarily studies, application of thermodynamics to chemical changes, i.e. chemical reactions.
