I am not sure it is true....

let us choose an angle, say #x=30^@#, we get:
#sin(60^@)+2sin^2(30^@)=1#
#sqrt(3)/2+2*1/4=1#
#1.36=1# that it is not true...

Equation can't be verified

#sin 2x + 2sin^2 x = 1#
#sin 2x = 1 - 2sin^2 x#

Use trig identity:
#1 - cos 2x = 2sin^2 x#
#cos 2x = 1 - 2sin^2 x.#
The equation can't be verified because #sin 2x != cos 2x#
