Given that speed of rotating space station v=12m"/"sv=12m/s

If the radius of the orbit of rotation be rr m, then centrifugal accelertion which is equal in magnitude of artificial accelartion due to gravity in the space station will be g_a=v^2/rga=v2r

Now the acceleration due to gravity on earth g_e=9.8m"/"s^2ge=9.8m/s2

Now by the condition of the problem

g_a=50% "of "g_ega=50%of ge

=>v^2/r=50/100xxg_ev2r=50100×ge

=>12^2/r=1/2xx9.8122r=12×9.8

=>r=(144xx2)/9.8~~29.4mr=144×29.829.4m
