Electrons always have a spin magnetic moment given by their spin quantum number
Based on spin orientations, they can take values
The magnetic moment due to spin is an intrinsic property and electrons are endowed with it.
Therefore, even though there is no orbital magnetic moment, there is always a spin magnetic moment.
In atoms however, due to electron pairing in orbitals, the net spin moment may be zero for fully filled orbitals.
