How does a tulip move?

For the most part, it doesn't.
Explanation:
Since a tulip is - generally - an immobile organism, it is unable to move from it's roots in the ground, meaning that insects, animals and other organisms are able to eat it while it stays defenseless.
Tulips sold and cultivated in this day and age have lost most of their defense mechanisms as is the case for many cultivars and man made varieties in agriculture (man-made cultivation). So we have to protect them with care and crop protection products.
All the best!
