10pH is the formula for converting pH into [H+], the hydrogen/hydronium ion concentration of a solution.

You use this to calculate the [H3O+] of a solution (the molar concentration of hydronium/hydrogen ions in solution).

Remember that to find the pH from a known [H3O+], we can use the formula

pH=log[H3O+]

If we use the properties of logarithms, we can derive that equation from this one:

pH=log[H3O+]

pH=log[H3O+]

10pH=[H3O+]
