The Sinoatrial node or SA node for short is a group of specialised nerve cells present on the upper wall of the right atrium.
Explanation:
The S.A node has a very important function- to regulate the contraction of the chambers of the heart.
Specifically, it causes the walls of the atria to contract by sending out electrical signals. It also sends signal to AV node.
