We know that the molar volume of an Ideal Gas at "STP"STP (check the definition!) is 22.7*L*mol^-122.7Lmol1...we gets a bit over 1*L1L

Explanation:

We then have to find the molar quantity of dioxygen gas. Now it is a fact that ALL the elemental gases (save the Noble gases) are diatomic....i.e. H_2, N_2, O_2, F_2.........

And so we work out the product......

"moles of gas"xx"molar volume......"

=(1.6*g)/(32.00*g*mol^-1)xx22.7*dm^3*mol^-1~=1*L.
