And so ${(- 4.00 \times 10^{11})}^{4} = {(- 4 \times 10^{11})}^{2} \times {(- 4 \times 10^{11})}^{2}$ $(-4.00xx10^11)^4=(-4xx10^11)^2xx(-4xx10^11)^2$

$= 16 \times 10^{22} \times 16 \times 10^{22}$ $=16xx10^22xx16xx10^22$

$= 16^{2} \times 10^{22} \times 10^{22}$ $=16^2xx10^22xx10^22$

$= 256 \times 10^{44}$ $=256xx10^44$ ....an unfeasibly large noomber..........

Remember that ${(- x)}^{2} = (- x) \times (- x) = - 1 \times - 1 \times x^{2} = {(- 1)}^{2} x^{2} = 1 \times x^{2} = x^{2}$ $(-x)^2=(-x)xx(-x)=-1xx-1xxx^2=(-1)^2x^2=1xxx^2=x^2$
