Here's how you can do that.

Explanation:

Assuming that you're looking to cite an answer posted on Socratic, here's how you can do that properly.

For starters, keep in mind that all the content posted on Socratic is licensed under a Creative Commons-Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike license, which means that every answer posted here can only be used with attribution, for non-commercial purposes, and using the same license.

Every time you're citing content licensed under Creative Comms, CC, you need to provide

  • #"T " -># the title of the material
  • #"A " -># the name of the author
  • #"S " -># the source
  • #"L " -># the license

So, for example, let's say that you want to use the answer that I'm writing to this question. You should say that your paper referenced

How do I cite Socratic? by Stefan V. available at https://socratic.org/questions/how-do-i-cite-socratic-org under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike license.

Notice that I hyperlinked the Creative Commons license in there, just for good measure.

Alternatively, you can have something like this:

How do I cite Socratic? by Stefan V. is licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0.

This time, I hyperlinked the source of the material, i.e. the Socratic page, and my profile page on Socratic as well.

Basically, you can use any format that you want as long as you stick to the #"TASL"# requirements. You can find more information on how to cite Creative Comms material here.
