The height is =1.92m

Explanation:

The spring constant is k=32kgs2

The compression is x=78m

The potential energy in the spring is

PE=1232(78)2=12.25J

This potential energy will be converted to kinetic energy when the spring is released and to potential energy of the ball

KEball=12mu2

Let the height of the ball be =h

Then ,

The potential energy of the ball is PEball=mgh

PEball=12.25=0.659.8h

h=12.2510.659.8

=1.92m
