The height is =0.45m

Explanation:

The spring constant is k=16kgs2

The compression is x=35m

The potential energy in the spring is

PE=1216(35)2=2.88J

This potential energy will be converted to kinetic energy when the spring is released and to potential energy of the ball

KEball=12mu2

Let the height of the ball be =h

Then ,

The potential energy of the ball is PEball=mgh

The mass of the ball is =0.650kg

PEball=2.88=0.6509.8h

h=2.8810.6509.8

=0.45m
