Number is 5959

Explanation:

Let the unit's digit be xx as sum of digits is 1414, ten's digit is 14-x14x,

then the number is 10xx(14-x)+x10×(14x)+x

i.e. 140-10x+x14010x+x or 140-9x1409x

Reversing the digits number, unit digit becomes 14-x14x and tens digit becomes xx, hence number is 10x+14-x=9x+1410x+14x=9x+14.

As adding 3636 to 140-9x1409x makes it 9x+149x+14, we have

140-9x+36=9x+141409x+36=9x+14

or 176-14=9x+9x17614=9x+9x

or 18x=16218x=162

or x=9x=9

and hence, unit''s digit is 99 and tens digit is 55

and number is 5959
