Tear glands are exocrine in nature: each gland secretes an aqueous fluid to lubricate the exposed tissue of the eyeball of same side. The secretion is released on the surface of the eye.
Explanation:
Endocrine glands release their product directly in blood which is not true for tear glands. Tear comes out via ducts.
