The Hubble only takes photographs in greyscale.

Explanation:

The Hubble uses a CCD camera which only records greyscale images.

The Hubble takes a number of different greyscale photographs at different wavelengths. Each of the photographs is coloured and then superimposed to give a full colour image. Non visible wavelengths are given an artificial visible colour.
