Technically, yes.
Explanation:
If you are specifically talking about a group, such as Napoleon's army, then you could. If you are talking in second person with "you" and then explain "their," then that would not be accepted. From past experience, I have never gotten marked down for using "their" in a third-person essay or writing piece.
