x=1

Explanation:

Multiplying each term of 2x10(2x)+3=0 by 2x, we gwt

22x10+3×2x=0.

Now let 2x=u, the above becomes

u2+3u10=0

or u2+5u2u10=0

or u(u+5)2(u+5)=0

or (u2)(u+5)=0

but as u=2x, u+50 and dividing both sides by it, we get

u=2 or 2x=2 or x=1

x=1

Explanation:

Write as: 2x102x+3 = 0

[2x×1]102x+[3×1] = 0

[2x×2x2x]102x+[3×2x2x]=0

22x2x 102x+ 3×2x2x = 0

22x+(3×2x)10=0

Changed my mind about the format. Write 22x as (2x)2

Set a=2x giving

a2+3a10=0

(a2)(a+5)=0

a=2anda=+5

2x=+2and2x=5

Using logs

Consider 2x=2

xln(2)=ln(2)x=ln(2)ln(2)=1

Consider 2x=5

xln(2)=ln(5)

but ln(5) is undefined so not a solution.

Thus x=1
