Area of given circle is 49pi cm^2.

Explanation:

A line passing through centre of the circle and contained by its circumference is diameter.

Hence, diameter of the circle is 14 cm and radius is 14/2=7 cm.

As area of a circle is pir^2,

area of given circle is pixx7^2=49pi cm^2.
