#2x-4y=3 (1) , 3x-5y=61 (2)# Multiplied equation (1) by #3#

and equation (2) by #2# we get,

#6x-12y=9 (3) , 6x-10y=122 (4)# , sbtracting equation (3)

from equation (4) we get, #2y=113 :.y = 56.5#. Substituting

#y = 56.5# in equation (1) we get, #2x-4*56.5=3 # or

#2x-226=3 or 2x =229 or x= 114.5#
