(5x^2+7x-6) div (x+2) = (5x-3)
This answer can be obtained either by factoring or by synthetic division.

Explanation:

By Factoring
Recognize (5x^2+7x-6) = (5x-3)(x+2)
Therefore
color(white)("XXXX")(5x^2+7x-6)/(x+2)

color(white)("XXXX")= ((5x-3)cancel((x+2)))/cancel((x+2))

color(white)("XXXX")= 5x-3
Note, however, there is a requirement that x!= -2

By Synthetic Division (handy if you don't easily recognize the factoring)
